boccuzzi's in buenos aires!

where to begin! for many reasons, my family's trip to argentina was unlike any journey we have ever had. with more highs then lows we spent our days exploring the amazing city of buenos aires. there was so much to see and my little sis did an awesome job fitting it all in. there were so many 'favorites' on this trip including the shopping, the food, the culture, and the energy and vibe of the people. it was also great to meet steph's awesome friends from both the states and argentina! but perhaps my favorite part of this trip was seeing how much my baby sister has grown. from seeing her speak fluent... that's right fluent... spanish to watching her navigate her city was truly remarkable! she is growing up fast and let's just say i think she is one cool kid!

i hope you are ready for some photos!

hello from argentina.

well hello! with this brief internet access i thought i would say hello to the world back home. our time thus far in argentina has been filled with food, museums, walking, shopping, and trying to fit in with the locals! argentina has been nothing like i was expecting... although to be fair i didn't know what to expect. we only have a few days left to pack in the rest of this city! nos vemos!

away we go!

the fam and i are heading to argentina tomorrow! we will be visiting my younger sister, stephanie, who has been studying in buenos aires for the past five months. although argentina was never on my 'bucket list', i am so so so excited for the opportunity to visit this country and see my sis. perhaps one of the best parts about this trip (so far) is that my sister has planned our entire ten day stay... and told us all nothing! this break from 'planning' will truly set me in vacation mode! can't wait to see you s!!!!

monday meals.

one of my latest obsessions is old bay seasoning. it tastes good on just about everything so i decided to experiment cooking with it. i started with frozen tilapia from the grocery store and added a decent amount of old bay to it. from there i put it right in the oven (still frozen) for about 25-30 minutes on 375 degrees. next, i thinly slicked a potato and coated it with a little olive oil and old bay... that went right in the oven next to the tilapia. the peas were frozen so i boiled them on the stove while waiting for the food to finish. overall this meal took about 35 minutes and was an easy and healthy meal for one!
